This entire league really started in late 2023 on old gen. Desperate for consistent players to play with, Jgav was willing to play with anyone with a pulse, and there was Dirtydangus and MaterialPoem (GarthPlarth) waiting in the shadows. Eventually, we grew up and purchased new gen consoles. While scouting to be a part of the LG NCAA expansion draft (we were new to LG), we met PettyWap. That soothing voice just puts you in an instant state of relaxation. At this point we created a group chat where we invited anyone we liked, and played with regularly to shoot the shit and gather for games. We now decided it was time to find a league besides LG. PHL is where we landed. To prevent a team from folding, Dangus, Gav, and Garth took over the Chicago Blackhawks. A dynasty was born. Well…. Actually we just survived putting lines together to finish the season just outside a playoff spot. During this time we acquired a wild TopShelfCookies, Cuzzando, Ezwork and worst of all Rooodster. We called ourselves the Banter Boys and used the eggplant emoji as our calling card. After their rebrand, PHL became TTC and two seasons later the Banter Boys are holding a TTC Cup and talking about how we should create our own league. After twisting Gav’s arm and convincing him we are not trying to completely rip off LG, he agreed to join the Founding Council. However, his vision of the of the league is to help people and Roood’s and Garth’s vision was to have a competitive league.

Banter Association’s mission is to help people find what we did… Homies who’s love for virtual hockey has become real friendships. Our group has moved away from a LFG chat. It has evolved into where we shoot the shit and talk about what is happening in our lives.
